Power over Ethernet extender repeates the data signal and forward PoE to camera, PoE+ compliant it is compatible with all Axis cameras. No additional power supply required. maximum total distance between switch camera depends on input required by but cameras can be at least extended 200 meter connection.
Ethernet has a limited cable length of 100m (328 ft.). When needed cover longer distance, normally used as repeater, or optical fiber may used.
To overcome this limit, network installers simply connect an T8129 in-line Cat-5e Cat-6 cable, rest camera. Dependent midspan type, connection in 200-400 meters (656-1312 ft.).
