6 AWG building wire is intended general purpose applications as defined National Electrical Code (NEC). 6 THHN-THWN-2 permitted new construction or rewiring 600-volt applications. requiring Type THHN THWN-2, conductor appropriate use wet dry locations at temperatures not exceed 90°C 75°C oil coolants. MTW 90°C, 60°C where exposed oils AWM 105°C locations. Most common used often on sub-panels, hot tubs & jacuzzis.
