Fotospeed Cyanotype Kit

The Fotospeed Cyanotype Kit provides access to a non-silver photographic print process originating in 1842. The blue image color is derived from Prussian Blue, a form of iron. Cyanotype is an alternative method exposed using ultraviolet or sunlight through contact negatives to create a blue image on selected art paper. Ammonium Ferric Oxalate is used to produce a durable blue that does not fade. Development in water and citric acid allows for contrast adjustment. All images are created via the contact system, requiring a negative of the correct size.
