This device is recognized as portable storage when connected to a MAC computer. However, the included software is an EXE file, which is windows only. The included software is needed ONLY to modify the date and time stamp. If you need the date and time stamp to be accurate, then you will need a PC to launch the .exe file to change the date and time settings. This ONLY needs to be done ONCE.
AUDIO FILE PLAYBACK
Audio files this unit produces are able to be played back on windows and mac using the VLC media player. If you choose to use the included software, that software is windows only. Therefore we HIGHLY recommend the FREE VLC Player.
