Mini 6 Port (4F+2F-SFP) Ethernet Switch w/ 2 at PoE and 1 HP PoE Port & FX SFP.
The MX-6p-FX-PoE-1HP transmits and receives (4) copper 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet signals at the RJ45 ports and (2) optical 100 Base-FX over 1 or 2 optical fibers. The system is comprised of two or more units forming a communications link. The MX-6p-FX-PoE-HP Series also sources up to 60 Watts of power to an Ethernet powered device (PD) for up to 2 RJ45 ports. The power is carried over all 4 pairs of the Ethernet cable. However, it is required that the PD have independent discovery and classification interfaces for both the data pair and the spare pair of the Ethernet cable. If only a single RJ45 port requires 60 Watts, ports 3 and 4 are available to source up to 30 Watts each. An external power supply is required. The MX-6p-PoE is targeted for applications where the customer has 48 volts available (such as in security monitoring of solar farms). An external 48 volt power supply, provided by the customer, needs to provide the required watts for the application. The system is designed to be completely transparent with auto negotiation features which automatically configures the unit for the correct speed (10/100 Base-TX). Auto MDI/MDIX operation eliminates the potentia l need for crossover cables. Diagnostic indicators provide a quick visual indication of system status.
