Spec SheetThe Square D Type S reversing NEMA starter provides reliable control for three-phase motors, supporting full voltage starting, stopping, and reversing functions. It features a horizontal arrangement with a NEMA 1 painted sheet steel enclosure, measuring 11.88 inches tall, 11.88 inches wide, and 7.53 inches deep.
Constructed with a melting alloy overload relay using Type B thermal units, it offers a maximum SCCR of 5 kA when protected by an appropriate circuit breaker or fuse. The starter includes two mechanically and electrically interlocked 8502S NEMA contactors, with screw clamp terminals for electrical connections.
Rated for 27 amperes, this three-phase, three-pole starter supports up to 7.5 HP at 200 and 230 VAC, and 10 HP at 460 and 575 VAC. It operates with a 440/480 VAC 50/60 Hz control coil and is suitable for common control circuit wiring.
