Grayloy iron material forms the body of this Type LB conduit outlet fitting with a 3-1/2 inch hub size. Its triple-coat finish includes zinc electroplate, chromate, and an epoxy powder coat for enhanced corrosion resistance. The conduit outlet body is compatible with rigid steel, rigid aluminum conduit, and intermediate metal conduit (IMC). A flat back design increases cubic capacity to 218 cubic inches, facilitating easier wire pulling and providing more splicing room. Smooth, rounded integral bushings protect conductor insulation within the hubs. The tapered female threaded connections ensure tight, rigid joints and good ground continuity. This LB outlet body serves multiple functions including making bends in conduit systems, providing openings for splicing, connecting and changing conduit run directions, and allowing branch run connections.
