Aluminum construction with an epoxy powder coat finish forms the basis for this Type LB conduit body, suitable for use with rigid steel, rigid aluminum conduit, and intermediate metal conduit. Its 2 inch hub size accommodates standard conduit runs and branch connections. Tapered female threaded connections ensure tight, rigid joints that provide excellent grounding continuity. The flat back design offers increased cubic capacity, facilitating easier wire pulling and providing additional space for splicing. Smooth, rounded integral bushings protect conductor insulation during installation and maintenance. Markings for hub size, body style, compliance data, maximum wire number and size, as well as cubic capacity are molded directly into the body for easy identification. This conduit body serves multiple functions such as pulling fittings, making bends in conduit systems, providing openings for splicing, and allowing access to conductors for maintenance. It is compatible with Crouse-Hinds Form 7 bodies, gaskets, and covers, ensuring interchangeability. Compliance with UL 514A, UL 514B, CSA, and NEMA FB-1 standards supports installation in accordance with recognized electrical codes.
