Grayloy iron material forms the basis of this conduit outlet body, which measures 7.56 inches long, 3.72 inches wide, and 3.22 inches high. Its triple-coat finish includes zinc electroplate, chromate, and an epoxy powder coat to resist corrosion. Compatible with rigid steel conduit and intermediate metal conduit, this Type X outlet body features tapered female threaded connections for secure joints and excellent ground continuity. The form 8 design provides 15.5 cubic inches of wiring capacity as specified by NEC 314.16(A). Smooth, rounded integral bushings in the hubs protect conductor insulation while flat back construction offers more cubic content for wire pulling and splicing. It fits flush against flat surfaces for stable installation and is fully interchangeable with comparable Form 8 fittings from other manufacturers. Certified to UL 514A, UL 514B, CSA C22.2 No. 18.3, and NEMA FB-1 standards, the X38 combines practical design with recognized electrical codes for conduit systems.
