Part of the PX2KX series, this explosionproof cable connector features a 1/2 inch trade size and is made from nickel plated brass. It provides an environmental seal on the cable's outer jacket and an explosionproof compound barrier around the inner cable cores. The connector supports conductor ranges from 0.374 to 0.626 inches and uses NPT connections. Certified for Class I, Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Groups E, F, G; Class III; and Class I, Zone 1, it meets UL 2225 and CSA C22.2 No. 174 standards, and carries approvals from ATEX, Lloyd’s, DNV, and ABS. Its design includes removable armor cone and ring for armor termination and features a SOLO LSF thermoplastic elastomer displacement seal concept. NEMA 4X rated and providing IP66, IP67, and IP68 protection levels, this connector is suitable for marine shipboard use and other hazardous environments requiring secure mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity through armor termination.
