The American Fibertek MX-48-LX-SL-ST-PoE is a singlemode fiber PoE module supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps data rates. It features one ST optical port for 1000 Base-X fiber connection and two RJ45 copper Base-T Ethernet ports. This module forms a point-to-point link by transmitting and receiving copper Ethernet signals over fiber.
It supports low power delivery of 15 watts based on 802.3af and higher power delivery of up to 30 watts using 802.3at. An external 48 V DC power supply is required to power the module. The device offers auto-negotiation of speed and auto MDI/MDIX crossover detection, removing the need for manual cable adjustments.
