The TRUTEST801 Smoke Detector Sensitivity Tester introduces a measured amount of smoke aerosol (SMOKE400, not supplied) through the vents to the smoke chamber of an installed smoke detector. It operates using a precision closed-loop system that measures the smoke obscuration and feeds information back to a controlling microprocessor. It then displays the sensitivity reading in %/ft on a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen.
