The USB 2.0 Type A plug allows for up to 1,000 feet of wiring distance from the switch to the port. Powered by a USB port with a nominal voltage of 5 VDC, it consumes 21 mA at 5 VDC. The device operates within a temperature range of -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C) and has a memory capacity of approximately 1,000 keystrokes or commands. It uses EEPROM, non-volatile memory that retains data for over 200 years. The environmental rating is IP40, suitable for typical indoor office environments.
