Copperfree aluminum housing with a baked epoxy powder-coat finish resists corrosion while supporting operation in hazardous environments. The flood light includes a porcelain socket with a nickel-plated phosphor bronze screw shell and a steel trunnion mount for flexible installation. Threaded joints are flame-tight with five fully engaged threads to maintain explosionproof integrity. The lamp socket’s strategic placement and interior prism glass globe optimize light distribution and control. Heat and impact resistant globes have smooth, dust-resistant exteriors, suitable for pipeline transportation, drilling rigs, production facilities, and refinery docks where explosive gases may be present. Voltage ratings include 120, 208, 240, and 277 volts to accommodate various electrical systems. The fixture is integrally ballasted and complies with NEC, CEC, UL, and CSA standards for Class 1 and Class 2 hazardous locations, providing reliable illumination in challenging industrial settings.
