The Professional Countermeasures Maximum Advanced Sweep Set includes the TD-62 Advanced Transmitter Detector and a selection of specialized probes designed for detecting hidden transmitters. The TD-62 uses a wideband RF probe to scan for transmitting bugs up to 2.5 GHz, with additional probes for infrared, line driver, and microwave signals. Detection results are indicated by audible tones and visual bar graphs on the LCD screen.
The set features selectable sensitivity settings and an earphone jack for discreet monitoring. The IR probe locates audio-carrying laser beams, the line driver probe detects active wired microphones, and the microwave probe covers signals in the 2.5 GHz range with an omnidirectional antenna. The included TT-46 Wiretap Detector tests telephone wiring for common types of wiretaps and bypasses.
