3 AWG XHHW Building Wire

This 3 AWG XHHW-2 building wire is stranded copper with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. The black wire is cut to length and sold by the foot, with a minimum purchase of 1 foot and a maximum of 1000 feet. Call for longer lengths.

Rated for 600 volts, this wire suits wet or dry locations up to 90ºC. It complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) for general purpose conduit, underground, and recognized raceway installations. The 3 AWG conductor has seven strands with an insulation thickness of 1.143 mm and an outside diameter of 8.86 mm.

This wire meets several industry standards including UL-44, ASTM B3/B8/B787, CSA C22.2 No. 38, and NEMA WC-70. It has an allowable ampacity of 110 amps.
