Brass core with an outer bronze braid forms this 2 inch flexible conduit coupling to resist mechanical abuse while maintaining electrical conductivity equal to rigid conduit. It features a female threaded connection with a removable ductile iron union at one end and a removable brass male nipple at the other, facilitating secure, rigid joints without requiring a bonding jumper. Certified for Class I Division 1 and 2, Class II Division 1 and 2 locations, this coupling meets UL 886 and CSA standards for dust-ignitionproof, explosionproof, and watertight applications. An interior insulating liner protects conductors from abrasion during vibration, making it suitable where vibration or movement is a concern. Its 3.88 inch outside diameter and 25.88 inch length allow installation in challenging bend situations and serve as a flexible alternative to rigid conduit for threaded rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit (IMC).
