Explosion-proof flexible conduit coupling with bronze braid outer and brass core inner, 3/4 inch trade size and female threaded ends. Suitable for rigid metal conduit and IMC in hazardous locations.
Rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2, and Class II, Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations, this flexible conduit coupling features a bronze braid outer and brass core inner with an insulating liner. It provides watertight, dust-ignitionproof, and explosionproof performance. Female threaded ends include a removable ductile iron union on one side and a removable brass male nipple on the other, allowing easy connection to rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit. The coupling’s heavy duty design resists mechanical abuse while maintaining electrical conductivity equal to rigid conduit without requiring a bonding jumper. Integral smooth, rounded bushings protect conductor insulation, and the interior insulating liner guards against abrasion from vibration and movement. This coupling is suited for installations where vibration and flexibility are necessary, or where bending rigid conduit is difficult.

Special Features
Explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, watertight; Smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub protects conductor insulation; Accurately tapped, tapered threads for tight, rigid joints and ground continuity; Heavy duty design resists mechanical abuse; Electrical conductivity equal to rigid conduit on a similar length basis no bonding jumper required; Interior insulating liner protects conductors from abrasion under vibrating conditions; Female end fitting with removable ductile iron union at one end and a female end fitting with a removable brass male nipple at the other end; Used in areas where vibration and movement is a problem, also used in place of rigid conduit in difficult-bend situations
