This 6/2 Copper MC Cable features stranded copper conductors with an interlocked aluminum armor and a PVC jacket for durability. It includes a bare copper grounding conductor insulated with green PVC/nylon for added protection.
The cable is insulated with type THHN/THWN polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated with nylon, rated for 90°C in dry locations and 75°C when wet. It is suitable for branch, feeder, and distribution circuits in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential installations.
The PVC jacket provides resistance to sunlight, oil, fire, and abrasion. This cable complies with UL standards 68, 1479, 1569, 1581, and 2556, and meets ASTM B3 and B8, NFPA 70 NEC sections, IEEE 1202 flame test, and Federal Specification A-A59544. It supports use in exposed or concealed raceways, including direct burial and concrete encasement, with a maximum voltage rating of 600V.
