The Comnet RLMCSFP/24DC is an industrial-grade Ethernet media converter designed for harsh environments such as electrical substations, heavy manufacturing sites, and railroad applications. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps data rates with an SFP connection type. The converter features user-selectable link fault pass-through to remotely signal network faults or local alarms through dry contact closure.
This unit complies with IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 Class 2, EN50155, EN50121-4, and NEMA TS-1/TS-2 standards, ensuring reliable operation in high EMI and voltage transient conditions. It operates across an extended temperature range of -40º to +85º C. The enclosure is constructed from rugged 19-gauge galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish, suitable for DIN-rail or panel mounting.
Additional features include automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover, a self-contained power supply eliminating external units, no need for fans due to natural convection cooling, and LED indicators for easy status monitoring. Compatible with customer-installed ComNet SFP modules, it supports fiber distances up to 120 km.
