The Corning MIC Tight-Buffered Cable is a plenum-rated fiber optic cable with 12 multimode OM4 strands. It features 900 μm TBII buffered fibers that simplify stripping and termination. This all-dielectric cable avoids the need for grounding and bonding.
Designed for indoor use, it meets NEC Article 770 OFNP FT-6 requirements for plenum spaces. The cable's flame-retardant outer jacket and dielectric strength members provide protection during installation in riser, horizontal, and vertical applications.
Cable jackets come in various colors including blue, orange, green, brown, slate, white, red, black, yellow, purple, rose, and aqua for easy identification. The default jacket color corresponds to the dominant fiber type within the cable.
