Air Eject

The Air Eject is an automatic pneumatic shoreline disconnect designed for emergency and specialty vehicles to maintain air pressure in their air brake systems while the vehicle is parked at the station. This device ensures that the air system remains pressurized, allowing the apparatus to be ready for immediate response when needed. The truck-side mounted connector allows an external compressed air line to be connected to the vehicle, which helps keep the air system properly pressurized and prevents issues that could arise from a disconnected air line.

When the vehicle's engine is started, a solenoid valve connected to the starter circuit directs air pressure to an internal cylinder. This causes the device to automatically release and eject the connected air line. This automatic disconnect helps prevent dangerous situations where the vehicle might drive away with the air line still attached, which can lead to damage to both the air hoses and the vehicle's equipment. By ensuring the air line is disconnected, the Air Eject contributes to a safer and more reliable operation.

The Air Eject comes with a mating air line connector and check valve for straightforward installation on the vehicle. It is available as the standard Air Eject Only or With Weatherproof Adapter Kit. The optional Weatherproof Adapter Kit provides recessed mounting for the device, which helps protect it from environmental factors. This kit includes a polypropylene sleeve that shields the female coupler while allowing for easy manual removal of the air line. The kit uses a standard weatherproof cover, with yellow being the default color for the cover.
