Spec SheetThe 18/2C stranded TC shielded power cable from GENERAL CABLE is constructed with fully annealed stranded tinned copper conductors per ASTM B33. It features twisted pairs of conductors with premium-grade, color-coded PVC or FMPE insulation, and a shield made of 100% Flexfoil® aluminum/polyester with 25% overlap and foil facing out. The cable includes a stranded tinned copper drain wire and a 65% tinned copper braid (available on specific models). The outer jacket is made of PVC, available in gray or black, and is sunlight-resistant, suitable for outdoor use within a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C or up to 105°C.
This cable is rated for 300 volts and is suitable for applications such as power-limited circuits, intercom systems, business machines, computer interconnects, petrochemical control systems, and burglar alarms. It is marked for appropriate tray cable installations and resistant to chemicals and UV exposure.
