The Insteon Wireless Open/Close Sensor 2843-222 includes a LED status indicator that blinks on activation. The operating distance is 1/2" (12.7 mm) between magnet and main case. The sensor has two modes: sensing modes with jumper installed or uninstalled. It uses an aux input to sense contact closure with ≥20 gauge wire. Non-volatile EEPROM stores setup details. The address is 1 out of 16,777,216 possible. It supports controller functions only. Maximum links/scenes are 30. Configuration is software based. RF carrier frequency is 915 MHz. RF range is up to 150' (50 m) open air. Power is provided by 1 x AA alkaline battery included.
