Spec SheetThe Klein Tools ET40 is an electronic voltage tester capable of measuring AC voltages from 12V to 240V and DC voltages as low as 1.5V up to 24V. It provides clear indication of voltage type and level through bright LED illumination and includes polarity detection for DC measurements.
Constructed with a durable plastic housing and electronic components on a PCB, this tester is built to withstand a 9.8-foot (3-meter) drop. It features an analog LED display, an ON/OFF control switch, and an automatic power-off function after approximately 2 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Designed for safety and ease of use, the ET40 is rated CAT III 250V and has an ingress protection rating of IP41, making it dust and water resistant. It includes built-in test lead holders, a pocket clip for portability, and uses 2 AAA batteries (included).
