The Klein Tools NCVT-5A is a dual-range non-contact voltage tester equipped with an integrated laser pointer. It can detect AC voltage in cables, cords, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and wires, as well as in security, entertainment, communications, environmental control, and irrigation systems.
Features include:
- Voltage detection from 12 to 1000V AC (Mode 2) or 70 to 1000V AC (Mode 1)
- Bright laser pointer for object identification at a distance
- Audible alerts that increase in frequency with higher voltage or proximity
- Visual indicators for voltage presence
- Auto power-off to conserve battery life
- Built to withstand a 9.8-foot (3-meter) drop
