Kramer KDS-USB2 USB 2.0 High-Speed Extension Encoder/Decoder Kit

The Kramer KDS-USB2 is a USB 2.0 high-speed extension encoder/decoder kit for extending USB signals up to 100 meters over CAT 5e/6/7 cables or up to 10 km via fiber optics. It supports data throughput of 480 Mbps, maintaining full USB 2.0 bandwidth between host computers and peripheral devices such as keyboards, mice, displays, cameras, or external drives.

This kit includes one encoder and one decoder for a basic one-to-one extension setup. Additional decoders can be added to create many-to-many configurations over a Local Area Network, allowing multi-location collaboration with multiple devices connected simultaneously. Each USB port provides 5 V and 500 mA power. The unit operates without drivers and supports Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
