8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ L2+ Web-Managed Industrial Switch with 2 SFP Ports — managed high-power PoE+ connectivity for harsh industrial environments
The 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Web-Managed Industrial Switch with 2 SFP Ports from Intellinet Network Solutions was designed to give you the network connections and device power you need in places that are less than calm or temperate. With its rugged, IP30-rated protective metal housing, the switch operates reliably and quietly, even in extreme temperatures that range from -40 to 185°F (-40 – 85℃). In combination with its DIN-rail mounting option and two safe redundant DC power inputs with power failure alarm and plenty of other safety features, this switch is ideal for IoT applications in Industry 4.0 and more.
Self-Healing Network with increased reliability and stability - Intellinet Powered Device Monitor (PDM)
This switch is equipped with Powered Device Monitoring, a self-healing PoE function. This PoE watchdog performs a PD alive check to all connected PDs and automatically resets unresponsive devices, such as PoE security surveillance cameras, by cutting off and then restoring power. The PDM function is especially useful in applications where connected devices are critical to network operation, such as in industrial or surveillance settings. As an added benefit, the PD Alive function helps eliminate unnecessary technical support calls and costly field trips by field-support engineers because the functional reboot can often bring the unresponsive device back online.
Gigabit Speeds paired with a large Power Budget
Featuring eight auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, this managed switch offers plenty of performance for the devices in your network. The switch features a power budget of 240 W and can distribute a full 30 W (per the IEEE 802.3at standard) to every RJ45 port simultaneously. Also, two small form-factor pluggable GBIC module slots (SFP) provide fiber connectivity for greater distances.
Advanced Management and Security Features
This PoE switch comes with an impressive array of advanced management functions that give you full control over your network and keep you securely protected from ARP attacks. Among those functions are VLAN, port aggregation, QoS, port mirroring, SNMP management and Remote Monitoring (RMON). Port binding allows a specific MAC address to be bound to a port, and then only that MAC has the privilege to access the network. Thanks to 802.1X port-based access control, every user needs to be authorized first when they want to access the network. The access control list (ACL) lets you define access privilege based on IP or port number.
