Phenolic explosionproof socket for 300 to 500 watt E39 incandescent lamps, suitable for hazardous locations with flame-tight joints.
Rated for 300 to 500 watt incandescent lamps with an E39 base, this replacement socket fits Appleton A-51 Series AAU-5NS explosionproof lighting fixtures. Made from glass-reinforced phenolic, it provides durability and heat resistance suitable for harsh environments. The socket block includes a collector ring and pin that make contact automatically when threaded onto the mounting hood, allowing servicing or relamping without disconnecting wiring. All joints are flame-tight to prevent ignition in hazardous atmospheres. Compliant with UL 1598, UL 844, CSA standards, and certified for Class I Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations including Groups A, B, C, and D, as well as Class II and III areas. The socket is suitable for wet locations and areas with ignitable vapors, dust, moisture, and corrosive atmospheres.
