12/2 UF-B wire with ground is suitable for underground feeder and branch circuit wiring. It meets the requirements of Article 340 in the NEC (2008 and 2011 editions) and is rated for 600 volts.
The cable features solid annealed soft bare copper conductors with a PVC insulation and a nylon covering. It includes a solid soft copper ground wire and a gray PVC jacket that resists sunlight, moisture, and fungus. The conductor insulation can operate at 90°C in both dry and wet conditions, but ampacity is limited to 60°C.
