This 12 AWG XHHW solid building wire comes on a 500-foot spool and is suitable for general purpose wiring in conduit, underground, or other raceways. It meets NEC requirements for services, feeders, and branch circuits with insulation rated for 600 volts and temperatures up to 90°C in both wet and dry locations.
The wire features solid, uncoated copper conductors with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. Its outside diameter is approximately 3.76 mm (0.149 inches), and it has a dielectric constant below 3.5, making it suitable for circuits needing low leakage. Ampacity ratings allow up to 20 amps at 60°C, 75°C, and 90°C.
