This 16-2C solid Type J thermocouple wire features a glass braid insulation and jacket, rated for 482°C. The two conductors use a duplex parallel assembly with the positive iron lead in white and the negative constantan lead in red. The outer jacket is brown glass braid, providing moderate abrasion resistance and moisture protection.
The wire consists of solid 16 AWG conductors and has an overall diameter of 0.085 by 0.150 inches. It supports voltages up to 300V and is suitable for applications requiring reliable performance over wide temperature ranges. Lengths are available by the foot, with a minimum order of 100' and a maximum of 2000'.
