This 8/2 Copper MC Cable with Ground features aluminum interlocking armor and stranded copper conductors. It is suitable for branch, feeder, and service distribution in commercial, industrial, and multi-residential applications.
The cable meets NEC Articles 230.43, 300.22(C), 330, 396, 518, 520, 530, and 645 requirements and can be installed in approved raceways, as open runs on a messenger, or in tray spaces under specified conditions.
- Stranded copper conductors with THHN insulation rated UL 83 and VW-1 flame resistant
- Bare and green insulated ground wires included
- Interlocking galvanized steel armor for mechanical protection
- Meets multiple UL standards including UL 1479 for fire penetration tests
- 8 AWG size, 0.690-inch outside diameter, 55 ampere rating at 90°C
