The Comnet RLFDX485M2/24DC is a substation-rated RS-485 serial data link and repeater featuring multimode 2-fiber optical connectivity and a 24VDC power supply. It provides high resistance to electromagnetic interference, voltage transients, and harsh environmental conditions commonly found in electrical substations, switchyards, and industrial sites.
This model supports full-duplex, half-duplex, and simplex RS-485 communication and operates over multimode fiber distances up to 5 km. It is fully backward compatible with Garrettcom/Dymec 5843, 5844, 5845, and 5846 series equipment for easy integration and direct replacement.
