The Corning MIC Tight-Buffered Cable features 12 strands of OM3 multimode fiber designed for riser applications within buildings. Each fiber is a 900 μm TBII buffered element that simplifies stripping and termination. The cable has a dielectric strength member and a flame-retardant outer jacket.
This all-dielectric construction requires no grounding or bonding and meets the National Electrical Code Article 770 for riser cables. It is suitable for indoor horizontal and vertical riser use in telecommunications rooms, work areas, and shafts.
The cable is available in multiple jacket colors to aid visual identification, with the standard color matching the dominant fiber type.
