This carbon fiber half-ring is part of the GLINK system and allows a gimbal to be mounted over a slung camera.
It provides a stable anchor point for multiple accessories along with the gimbal itself. The CF Ring is supported by the arms of the GLINK, which smooths movements for smoother footage.
