The IDEAL 45-144 cable stripping and slitting tool is engineered to efficiently remove the outer jacket of round single or multiple conductor cables. It accommodates cables ranging from .250 inches to 1.75 inches in diameter, making it suitable for larger copper and multi-conductor cables.
The tool includes an adjustable blade with a depth setting that can be rotated to cut the jacket without damaging inner conductors. To adjust the blade height or cutting depth, spin the silver cap. The blade can also be rotated 90 degrees to slit the jacket lengthwise, useful for end and midspan stripping. To rotate the blade, press the lever knob fully to the right/outermost position and slide the jacket.
A spare blade is stored in the handle's base, accessible by moving the pin dowel to the spare blade hole. Replacement blades are available under part number LB-1748.
