This guide covers the entire seller workflow: account creation, seller setup, listing preparation, photos, pricing, moderation, buyer orders, shipment, tracking and seller payout.
Start with a normal Safsale account. Use an email address you monitor because Marketplace notifications, order information and seller actions are tied to that account.
The listing must describe the actual equipment the buyer will receive. Accurate manufacturer and part-number data are especially important for professional equipment.
Photos should help the buyer verify what is being sold. Use clear images of the actual item whenever possible.
Safsale Marketplace uses a 10% marketplace markup. The seller price and the buyer-facing Marketplace price are kept separately by the system.
New listings pass through Marketplace moderation before public publication. A listing can remain pending if data is incomplete or if it requires additional review.
When an order is received, follow the Marketplace order workflow rather than moving the transaction outside the platform.
Seller payout follows the Marketplace order state. The seller should keep the order and tracking information complete so the transaction can move through delivery confirmation and the payout stage.
Correct model, correct condition, useful photos, accurate quantity, honest description, realistic seller price, valid shipping information and a monitored Safsale account.
