The Sony MAS-A100 is an IP-based ceiling beamforming microphone designed for hands-free lectures and presentations.
The Sony MAS-A100 is an IP-based ceiling beamforming microphone designed for hands-free lectures and presentations. It offers dual output capabilities for live sound and recording. The microphone features a frequency response of 100 Hz to 10 kHz, with a sensitivity of 0 dBFS/Pa at 1 kHz. It has a maximum SPL of 94 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 75 dB (A-weighted, 1 kHz, 1 Pa). The self noise is 19 dB SPL (A-weighted), and the dynamic range is less than 75 dB.
With a latency of 24 ms (not including Dante latency), it supports Dante with 2 channels (main, rec) at 48 kHz sampling rate and 24-bit resolution. Networking requires Cat5e UTP or higher cable with an RJ45 connector. Audio technologies include beamforming feedback reducer, automatic gain control, noise reduction, noise gate, and automatic calibration with test signal equalizer API for external control system. Performance includes maximum noise suppression of 18 dB and maximum feedback suppression of 32 dB.
Configuration options include mic gain (output volume) from -60 to +12 dB, capture range (narrow/standard/wide), feedback reduction (low/middle/high), noise reduction (low/middle/high), noise gate (off/low/middle/high), and equalizer (fixed 5-band, ±12 dB, 1 dB step).
