This 8/4 Copper MC Cable with ground features aluminum interlocking armor and stranded copper conductors. It is suitable for branch, feeder, and service distribution in commercial, industrial, and multi-residential buildings. Applications include motion picture studios, theaters, and assembly areas with 100 or more people, compliant with NEC Articles 230.43, 300.22(C), 330, 396, 518, 520, 530, and 645.
The cable has soft annealed solid copper conductors insulated with THHN PVC/Nylon, rated VW-1 flame resistant per UL 83. It includes a bare copper grounding conductor, cabled with grounding wires, and assembled with marker and core protection tape into a round configuration. The galvanized steel armor is applied directly over the core.
