Factory lead time vs distributor lead time: ask which one you are being quoted

A lead time can mean time until a factory builds the item, time until a distributor receives replenishment, or time until your order ships from the distributor. Those are not interchangeable. What wording gets the clearest answer?

Ask for quantity available now, estimated ship date for your order and whether the stated lead time begins after purchase order acceptance. If material is inbound, ask whether it is already allocated.
For factory-built items, clarify whether the lead time is production only or includes transit to the distributor. International factory replenishment can add another leg after manufacturing is complete.
