The Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U is a versatile light meter designed for precise measurement in ambient, cine, flash, and spot lighting conditions. Featuring a 1° spot metering capability and cordless flash metering, it supports incident and reflected light reading methods. The device measures light in candelas per meter squared, foot lamberts, footcandles, and lux. It offers multiple measuring modes including aperture priority, FPS metering, flash duration analysis, high-speed sync flash, and shutter priority. The meter supports a maximum flash sync speed of 1/16,000 and cine speeds from 0.001 to 1000 fps with shutter angles between 1 and 358 degrees. An adjustable diffuser allows switching between spherical and flat light diffusion. The 2.7-inch color touchscreen LCD facilitates easy operation. Connectivity includes a PC sync terminal and micro-USB port. Powered by two AA batteries, the meter includes a 1/4"-20 tripod mounting thread and operates reliably within a temperature range of 14 to 122°F and humidity up to 85%. Compact and lightweight, it measures 6.9 x 3.7 x 1.9 inches and weighs 8.5 ounces without batteries.
