Rated for Class 1, Zone 1 and 2, and Class I Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations, this conduit outlet box from Appleton Electric offers durability and safety in demanding environments. Its malleable iron body provides high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and impact protection. The box includes a 1 inch GRE hub for threaded metal conduit connection and has an internal ground screw for electrical continuity. Its internally threaded body mates with an externally threaded copperfree aluminum cover that has pry notches to allow removal with a bar or wrench. Measuring 5 inches long, 4.8 inches wide, and 4.1 inches high, the box provides 18 cubic inches of capacity for conductor pulling and wiring access. The standard O-ring sealing ensures a raintight fit meeting NEMA 3 and 4 requirements. Its rounded integral bushing protects conductor insulation inside the hub. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, this outlet box connects conduit runs, changes conduit direction, and provides access for maintenance while complying with UL, CSA, and other hazardous location standards.
