This 350 MCM stranded aluminum conductor is rated for 15KV underground residential distribution (URD) applications. It features 133% concentric neutral and is sold by the foot. Ideal for use in direct burial or conduit installations, it meets industry standards for electrical and environmental conditions.
The conductor consists of compressed concentric strands of 1350 series aluminum per ASTM specifications, covered by an extruded thermoset semiconducting shield that allows easy stripping. Insulation is TR-XLPE with high dielectric strength, protected by a black linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) jacket that resists sunlight, abrasion, and heat. Three red stripes and NESC lightning bolt markings provide identification.
Key specifications include 220 mils insulation thickness, an 18-#14 concentric neutral, and a cable diameter of 1.48 inches. Ampacity ratings reach 319 amps in duct and 398 amps in free air at 90°C. This cable complies with ASTM B-3, B-8, B230, B-231, B-609, AEIC CS-8, and ICEA S-94-649 standards.
