• LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
• Ultraviolet Wavelength: Ultraviolet A Wavelength produces a longer wave between the 400nm - 315nm spectrum. This explosion proof LED light has a peak wavelength of 365NM.
• Durability: The FTL-5-UV-LED-X24I-100 LED UV light is constructed of extruded aluminum with a tough powder coat finish for high strength and durability. The housing is IP65 rated, providing limited ingress protection against dusts, and basic protection against splashing water such as rain. This design is weather resistant, suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, and ideal for areas where wetness or dusty conditions are commonly encountered.
• Mounting: This UV drop light comes standard with a set of drop hooks to allow users to conveniently hang the unit overhead anywhere illumination is needed. A machined handle at the base of the drop light allows the FTL-5-UV-LED-X24I-100 to be used as a handheld light fixture for spot illumination when needed. Each light is equipped with 100 feet of SOOW cable, making this drop light versatile and provides the operator with plenty of length for moving the light around the workspace.
• Voltage: The internal driver in this unit provide the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These lights can operate on current ranging from 100 to 277V AC. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it.
