Rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2, as well as Class II and Class III hazardous locations, this flexible conduit coupling handles demanding environments while maintaining electrical conductivity equal to rigid conduit. The outer bronze braid and inner brass core with an insulating liner provide mechanical resistance and protect conductors from abrasion during vibration. Each hub includes a smooth, rounded integral bushing to prevent damage to conductor insulation. Measuring 19.12 inches long and sized at 1/2 inch trade size with an outside diameter of 1.41 inches, it features female threaded connections with a removable ductile iron union on one end and a brass male nipple on the other. The coupling is UL 886 and CSA certified for explosion-proof and dust-ignitionproof use with threaded rigid metal conduit and IMC. Its heavy-duty design resists mechanical abuse and eliminates the need for bonding jumpers due to its reliable ground continuity.
