Rated for use with aluminum and ACSR conductors sized at 2 AWG, this single compression sleeve accommodates both service drop and short span overhead distribution lines. The sleeve is pre-filled with PENETROX joint compound to enhance conductivity and corrosion resistance. It is color coded red to align with its die code BG/58 for straightforward identification during installation. Compatible with various crimping tools including OH25 one-hand tool, MD6, MD7, Y35, Y750, and Y45 with corresponding die sets, the sleeve supports multiple crimping applications and ensures a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Holding strength measures up to 1600 pounds for ACSR and 1200 pounds for aluminum conductors. Its aluminum construction suits electrical installations involving 6201 and 5005 aluminum alloys.
