The Akai Professional MPX8 SD Sample Pad Controller is a sample-based sound generation device with 8 velocity-/pressure-sensitive RGB backlit pads. It includes 21 factory sound presets and features a single SD/SDHC memory card slot. The unit has 1/4" / 1/8" (3.5 mm) headphone audio I/O, 1x DIN 5-pin input and output MIDI I/O, and 1x USB-B (bus power, host connection, MIDI) I/O. It is a sample triggering pad that can operate standalone and has an LCD display.
