The Alpha 5390/30C is a high-performance shielded cable featuring 30 conductors of 18 AWG size. It includes stranded tinned copper conductors with 16 strands of 30 gauge wire each. The cable’s construction offers a 0.016-inch insulation thickness and a 0.032-inch jacket thickness, resulting in an overall diameter of 0.621 inches. This gray cable is cut to length and sold by the foot, with minimum and maximum lengths of 50 and 1000 feet respectively.
Designed for general-purpose applications, the cable is jacketed with premium PVC providing resistance to oils in accordance with UL Oil Res I (60C RES) Class 43. It operates in ambient temperatures up to 105 °C and supports a voltage rating of 300V. An aluminum/polyester foil shield with 25% overlap faces inward, combined with a drain wire sized equally to the strand, enhancing EMI protection when Supra-Shield is specified. A nylon ripcord aids in easy jacket removal.
