Appleton EYS 25% Fill Vertical and Horizontal Conduit Sealing Fitting

The Appleton EYS 25% fill vertical and horizontal conduit sealing fittings are engineered to prevent the transfer of gases, vapors, or flames from one part of a conduit system to another. They also help restrict the accumulation of ignitable gases or vapors, confining explosive pressure within the sealed enclosure.

These fittings are explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, and raintight, making them suitable for use in hazardous locations classified as Class I and II.

• Prevents passage of gases, vapors, or flames between conduit sections
• Restricts explosion propagation to the sealed enclosure
• Suitable for Class I, Division 1 and 2 locations within 18 feet of enclosures with arc, spark, or high-temperature apparatus
• Required where 2-inch or larger conduit enters an enclosure, housing terminals, splices, or taps
• Necessary at the boundary where conduit leaves a classified location
• Used where multiple enclosures are connected by 36 feet or less of conduit, with the seal within 18 feet of either enclosure
• Designed for cables exceeding gas or vapor transmission rates permitted for seals in Class I, Division 2 locations
• Features a smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub to protect conductor insulation
• Accurately tapped, tapered threads ensure tight, rigid joints and ground continuity
• Removable nipple can be used interchangeably in top or bottom hub
• UL Listed for use with Kwiko™ A Sealing Compound and certain sealing cements
• Large opening facilitates damming and filling
